Selecting a part of your image to be edited is one of the most important steps in Photoshop. When you select a part of your image, Photoshop will automatically fill in the selection with white. This makes it easy to make changes to your selection without having to worry about selecting everything again. To select a specific area of your image, use the following steps:
- Choose an object or layer in your image and press the left mouse button. This will select all objects on that layer.
- Drag the mouse over the area you want to select and release the left mouse button. The selection will be moved to where you dragged it and will be filled with white.
- To remove a selection, use the following steps: 1) Choose an object or layer in your image and press the right mouse button; this will deselect all objects on that layer 2) Drag the mouse over the area you want to remove and release the right mouse button; any selected objects will be removed
