If you’re like most people, you probably use Photoshop to edit photos, create graphics and logos, and create web pages. But with the ever-growing number of new features in Photoshop CS6 and CC, it can be hard to keep up. In this article, we’ll show you how to update your Photoshop installation so that you can take advantage of all the new features. First things first: if you’re using an older version of Photoshop (version 5 or earlier), you need to upgrade before proceeding. If you’re using a newer version (version 6 or 7), Adobe has released a free update that includes all the new features in these versions. Once you have updated your copy of Photoshop, open it and click on the File menu item. From here, select “Update Photoshop.” This will open Adobe’s Update Assistant window. On the left side of this window is a list of updates available for your copy of Photoshop; on the right is a list of which updates are required for your version of Windows or Mac OS X. If there are any updates available for either platform that are not included in your current copy of Photoshop, click on the “Get Updates” button to download and install them. Once the updates have been installed, Adobe will ask if you want to restart your computer; clicking on “Yes” will restart your computer and launch Photoshop with the latest changes. If everything goes well, congratulations! You now have access to all the new features in Photoshop CS6 and CC! ..
