If you’re like most people, you probably use Photoshop to edit photos and create graphics. But what if you want to do something more complex, like change the color of an object in a photo or create a 3D effect? In this article, we’ll show you how to unlock layers in Photoshop CS6 so that you can do more complex editing. First, open a photo that you want to edit. Next, click on the Layers button in the toolbar (or press Ctrl+L). This will open the Layers dialog box. Now, click on the eye icon next to the layer name (in our example, “Background”) to select all of the layers in this layer stack. Next, click on the Add Layer Mask button (or press Ctrl+Alt+M) to create a mask for this layer. Now, go ahead and make whatever changes you want to this layer - for example, by changing its color or adding effects - and then save your photo as usual. However, be sure to keep your original “Background” layer intact - otherwise your changes will not be visible when you later reopen your photo in Photoshop! ..
