If you find yourself constantly ungrouping objects in Adobe Illustrator, there are a few tricks you can use to make the process a little bit easier. Here are four tips to help you ungroup objects in Illustrator:
- Use the Selection tool (V). Click and drag an object over another object to select both. Then use the Command (Ctrl) key and click and drag one of the selected objects to a new location.
- Use the Direct Selection tool (A). Click and drag an object over another object to select both. Then use the Option (Alt) key and click and drag one of the selected objects to a new location.
- Use the Free Transform tool (T). Drag an object around to change its shape. When you’re finished, press Enter/Return or click anywhere outside of the Free Transform window to apply your changes.
- Use keyboard shortcuts for ungrouping objects in Illustrator: Press Ctrl+U for Ungroup All, Ctrl+D for Ungroup Selected, or Ctrl+K for Ungroup Current Object Only ..
