In Illustrator CS6, there are a few ways to trace objects. The easiest way is to use the Pen tool. To trace an object, hold down the Pen tool and drag the cursor over the object you want to trace. You can also use the arrow keys to move the cursor around. When you have traced all of the object’s pixels, release the Pen tool and release your mouse button.
