If you’re like most people, you probably don’t know how to start your car with a screwdriver. Well, here’s how:

  1. Find the battery. On most cars, the battery is located under the hood near the engine. If your car doesn’t have a battery, look for a metal box near the front or rear wheel wells.
  2. Remove the screws that hold the cover on. There are usually four or five screws on this cover. Once they’re removed, gently pull off the cover.
  3. Find and remove the starter motor (if there is one). It’s usually located in a black box near the engine or on top of the car near where you removed the cover in step 2. If there isn’t a starter motor, there may be an electrical connector that needs to be disconnected before you can start your car with a screwdriver. Consult your owner’s manual for more information on starting your car with a screwdriver. ..
