If you’re like most people, you probably don’t know how to start your car with a screwdriver. Well, here’s how:
- Find the battery. On most cars, the battery is located under the hood near the engine. If your car doesn’t have a battery, look for a metal box near the front or rear wheel wells.
- Remove the screws that hold the cover on. There are usually four or five screws on this cover. Once they’re removed, gently pull off the cover.
- Find and remove the starter motor (if there is one). It’s usually located in a black box near the engine or on top of the car near where you removed the cover in step 2. If there isn’t a starter motor, there may be an electrical connector that needs to be disconnected before you can start your car with a screwdriver. Consult your owner’s manual for more information on starting your car with a screwdriver. ..
