If you’re like most people, you probably use Photoshop to edit photos and graphics. But if you want to create layouts or graphics that are more organized and easier to work with, you’ll want to learn how to set up a grid. A grid is a layout tool that helps you keep your images and text aligned in a specific pattern. You can use grids for everything from creating magazine-style layouts to designing web pages. In this article, we’ll show you how to set up a basic grid in Photoshop. To create a grid, first open Photoshop and select the Grid tool (G). To create a 1x1 pixel grid, click on the center of the Grid panel (see image below). To create a 5x5 pixel grid, click on the left edge of the Grid panel and then drag across the image until it’s centered in the middle of the panel (see image below). To add more squares to your grid, simply drag one from the Toolbar onto the image window. To delete squares from your grid, select them with your cursor and press Delete (or press Backspace on your keyboard). You can also type in numbers into the Grid panel’s text field to specify how many squares each column or row should be. For example, type 4 into the text field next to Column 1 and 5 into text field next to Row 1 (see image below). Once you’ve created your grid, it’s time to start working with your images. First, align each one so that it’s centered within its respective column or row (see images below). Then, use guides located along either side of the Grid panel to help guide your alignment (see images below). Finally, use rulers located at either end of the Grid panel to measure distances between elements in your layout and adjust them as needed (see images below). ..
