If you’re ever having trouble getting your Pioneer car stereo to work, it might be because it’s been reset. Here’s how to do it:

  1. Open the car door and remove the battery cover.
  2. Look inside the car for a Phillips head screwdriver or other small tool that can be used to remove the screws that hold the car stereo in place (4 screws on each side of the stereo).
  3. Remove the screws and set aside any old components.
  4. Install a new battery cover and screw in place (4 screws on each side of the cover).
  5. Replace all of the screws that were removed from the stereo before installing the new cover (2 on top and 2 on bottom).
