Window tint is a popular way to protect people from the sun’s harmful rays, but it can also be a nuisance if it’s not removed correctly. Here are four ways to remove window tint glue:
- Use boiling water: Boil a pot of water and pour it over the window tint. Use a cloth or paper towel to rub the glue off of the window. Be careful not to get any water on the inside of the car.
- Use acetone: Pour acetone onto a cloth or paper towel and spread it over the area where the window tint is glued to the glass. Rub gently with a circular motion until all of the glue is removed. Be careful not to get acetone on your skin or clothes.
- Use Goo-Gone: Apply Goo-Gone liberally to a cloth or paper towel and rub gently over the area where the window tint is glued to the glass. The adhesive will start to dissolve after a few minutes, allowing you to remove it easily with your hands or a tool such as an old credit card or knife blade.
- Use boiling water and vinegar: Boil some water and add vinegar, stirring constantly until mixture reaches boiling point (about 212 degrees F). Pour mixture over area where window tint is glued, using a cloth or paper towel to rub off excess adhesive while still keeping surface wet. ..
