If you have an aftermarket car alarm, it’s important to remove it as soon as possible. Alarms can be dangerous and can cause serious damage to your car. If you don’t remove the alarm, it may become disabled and you may not be able to get it fixed. To remove the alarm, first remove the battery. Then unscrew the top of the alarm. Be careful not to damage the wiring or components inside the alarm. Once all of these parts are removed, take out the old alarm and put in the new one. Be sure to replace all of the screws that hold the old alarm together. Now is a good time to test your new alarm by turning on your car’s headlights and sound system. If everything works correctly, congratulations! You’ve successfully installed an aftermarket car alarm! If not, please contact your installer for help removing or installing an aftermarket car alarm.
