If you’re like most people, you probably use Photoshop to edit photos and create graphics. But did you know that you can also use it to paint? In this tutorial, we’ll show you how to use layer masks to paint on a layer without affecting the underlying image. First, open a photo in Photoshop and create a new layer by clicking on the New Layer button (located in the Layers panel). Next, select the Brush tool (B) and set the brush size to medium. Paint over the entire background of your photo with this brush. To add some detail to your painting, click on the Add Layer Mask button (in the Layers panel) and select a white brush. Paint over areas of your painting that you want to keep intact, such as the sky or flowers. By using a layer mask, you can hide parts of your image while still allowing other elements to show through. Once you’re finished painting, simply delete your original background layer by clicking on its thumbnail in the Layers panel and selecting Delete Layer from the menu that appears. Now your photo looks like it was painted with a brush! ..
