There are a few ways to mask text in Photoshop. The first way is to use the Mask tool. With the Mask tool, you can select a part of the text and then press the Delete key. The mask will be created around that selected area. You can then use other tools to edit the mask, such as Curl and Stretch, to make it more realistic or flexible. The second way to mask text is with a layer mask. To create a layer mask, click on the Layers palette button and then click on the Mask button. Then, select the desired part of the text and press Ctrl+M (Cmd+M). The layermask will be created around that selected area. You can then use other tools to edit the layermask, such as Curl and Stretch, to make it more realistic or flexible.
