If you’re like most people, you probably use Photoshop to create graphics and illustrations. But if you’re a graphic designer or artist, you may also be interested in using SVG files to create vector illustrations and designs. SVG is a file format that is similar to PNG but has a more complex structure. It can be used to create images that are about 1/4 inch wide and up to 16 inches wide. To create a SVG file, open Photoshop and click on the File menu and select New File. Then type in the name of the file you want to create, for example “svg_file1.” Click on the OK button and then click on the OK button again when Photoshop asks if you want to save the file as a PDF or PNG. When you save the SVG file as a PDF, Photoshop will add an XML document into the document’s root folder. This document contains information about the SVG file itself, such as its filename, size, and version number. You can open this document in any text editor or web browser by clicking on its link in the document’s header. When you open an SVG file in Adobe Illustrator or Inkscape, it will look just like any other vector illustration or design. However, there are some important differences between SVG and other vector formats. For example, when creating an SVG image with Adobe Illustrator or Inkscape, it is not possible to use layer masks or curves because these features are specific to PNG files.
