There are a few things you can do to make an image a vector in Illustrator. First, select the Image tool and click on the Edit button. Then, change the size of the image to something smaller than your canvas. Next, select the Line tool and draw a line from one corner of your image to another. Finally, use the Polygonal tool to create polygons around each line.
