If you’re like most Twitch streamers, you probably use a third-party overlay to show your viewers game stats, chat messages, and more. But what if you want to create your own overlay? In this tutorial, we’ll show you how to make a simple Twitch overlay using Photoshop. First, open up Photoshop and create a new document. We’ll use this document to design our overlay. Next, we need to find the dimensions of our overlay. To do this, open up the “View” menu and select “Show Viewport.” This will open up the viewport so that you can see the size of your document onscreen. In our case, our overlay will be about 600x400 pixels. Now that we know the dimensions of our overlay, we can start designing it! First, we need to add some basic elements: an image background and a chat box. To add the image background, select “Image” from the “Window” menu and then select “Load Image…” From here, browse to your desired image file and click OK. Next, add a text box by selecting “Text” from the same menu and entering in your desired chat message (we used “Hello World! This is my first stream! Thanks for watching! :)).
