If you are considering purchasing a car seat for your child, it is important to be aware of the different types of car seats that are available. There are two main types of car seats: forward-facing and rear-facing. Forward-facing car seats allow children to be facing forward in their vehicle, which is the most common type. Rear-facing car seats allow children to be facing rearward in their vehicle. There are a few things you will need in order to install a forward-facing car seat:

  1. A child restraint system such as a harness or shoulder belt. This system will keep your child safe while in the car seat.
  2. A Maxi Cosi car seat. This is the most popular type of forward-facing car seat and is designed for infants and toddlers up to age 6 months old. It has an adjustable harness that allows it to fit any size child.
  3. A drill or hole saw with a sharp blade (or an electric drill) and some wood screws (or Nylon wire). You will need to cut out a small opening in the back of the Maxi Cosi for the harnesses to go through. The hole should be about 1/4 inch wide and 3/8 inch deep. The screws should go into this opening and hold onto the back of the Maxi Cosi while you drill or saw into the front of the Maxi Cosi (see photo below).
  4. Some kind of adhesive (tape, velcro, etc.) so that when your child is installed in their newMaxi Cosi, they will have an immediate connection between their headrest and their body
