If you’re like most people, you probably use Photoshop to edit photos and create graphics. But there’s another, more creative side to the software: You can use it to create amazing effects that change the way your photos look. In this article, we’ll show you how to do just that. First, open a photo in Photoshop and choose File > Save As. In the Save As dialog box, type a new filename in the File name field and click Save. (If you want to keep the original photo file, select it before clicking Save.) Next, open the Channels panel (Window > Channels). If it’s not already open, click the panel tab at the top of the workspace. (You can also press Ctrl+1/Command+1 to open it.)
