If you’re like most people, you probably use Photoshop to edit images. Maybe you resize them, add text or graphics, or fix mistakes. But what if you want to edit a PSD file—a Photoshop file that contains layers and other complex design elements? In this article, we’ll show you how to edit a PSD file in Photoshop. First, open the PSD file that you want to edit. Next, click on the “Layers” button in the toolbar at the top of the screen. This will open the Layers panel. Now, click on the “Layer 1” layer in the Layers panel. This will make it so that only this layer is visible in the document window. (If there are other layers in the document window, they will be hidden.) Next, click on the “Layer 2” layer in the Layers panel. This will make it so that only this layer is visible in the document window. (If there are other layers in the document window, they will be hidden.) Now, double-click on either of these two layers to open their respective properties panels (located at the bottom of each panel). In Layer 1’s properties panel, change its name from “Layer 1” to “Background.” In Layer 2’s properties panel, change its name from “Layer 2” to “Text.” (You can also change these names by using keyboard shortcuts: Ctrl+J for Layer 1 and Ctrl+K for Layer 2.) ..
