But if you’re not sure how to get started with brushes in Photoshop, then we’ve got the perfect guide for you. In this article, we’ll show you how to download and install Brushes for Photoshop CS6. First, open up Photoshop and click on the File menu. Then select New File from the menu. In the new file dialog, enter brush name into the Name field and click on OK. Now open up your Brushes folder and drag all of the brushes that we’ve shown you into it. Once they’re in there, hit OK to close the file dialogs. Now open up Photoshop again and go to Edit > Preferences > Brush Settings. Under Brush Type, select Standard Brush from the list and hit OK. Now under Stroke Options, set everything back to defaults (except for Color). Now go back into your Brushes folder and start painting! You’ll see a lot of different brush types at your disposal now - be creative!
