Clipping masks are a great way to keep your illustrations looking their best. They let you cut out a specific area of your illustration and then paste it back in place with a new layer. This makes it easy to fix any mistakes you make while drawing. To create a clipping mask, open Illustrator and click the New Mask button. In the resulting window, select a rectangular shape and click OK. Then, drag the mask over the area you want to clip out. When you release the mouse button, Illustrator will snap the mask into place and leave behind the original drawing area. To remove a clipping mask, select it from the list of masks and click its Remove button.
