If you have an external hard drive that you use to store your files, it’s important to be sure that you can delete files off of it. Here are some tips on how to do this:

  1. Open the hard drive’s Properties dialog box. This dialog box is located in the left-hand side of the hard drive’s main window.
  2. In the Properties dialog box, click on theDelete button. This button will appear in a field next to the name of the hard drive.
  3. Type a few words into the Delete field and click on Delete. The hard drive will delete all of the files on it and will close its properties dialog box.
