If you have a business that processes payments through QuickBooks, then you know the importance of duplicating payments. If one payment is mistakenly entered into QuickBooks and is processed as a duplicate, your business can quickly and easily lose money. To delete a duplicate payment from QuickBooks, follow these steps:
- Open QuickBooks and click on the “Payments” tab.
- Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and click on the “Duplicate Payment” button.
- Enter the information needed to create a new payment, such as the name of the company, date of payment, and amount paid.
