If you’re like most people, you probably use Adobe Illustrator to create graphics for your website, brochures, or even just for fun. But if you want to crop an image without having to go back and forth between the program’s menus and the image itself, here’s how:

  1. Open the image you want to crop in Illustrator.
  2. Click on the “crop” tool (it looks like a pair of scissors) in the toolbar at the top of the screen.
  3. Drag out a rectangle around the part of the image you want to keep and release your mouse button. The rectangle will automatically resize as you drag it.
  4. When you’ve finished cropping, click on the “done” button in the toolbar or press Enter/Return on your keyboard. ..
