If you have a vintage enamel pot or pan, it’s time to give it a good cleaning. Here are four easy steps to get the job done:

  1. Fill a large bowl with warm water and add a teaspoon of dish soap. Soak the pan or pot in the water for about 10 minutes.
  2. Scrub the pan or pot with a stiff brush, then rinse it off with cold water.
  3. Dry the pan or pot with a paper towel.
  4. Apply a coat of cooking oil to the pan or pot, then heat it over medium heat until hot. Carefully add 1 cup of white vinegar to the pan and stir until the vinegar has dissolved. Turn off the heat and let the pan cool before using it again ..
