If you’re like most people, you probably don’t think of cleaning paint brushes with vinegar as a regular chore. But according to some experts, it’s one of the best ways to get rid of paint build-up and restore the brushes’ effectiveness. Here’s how to do it:
- Fill a small bowl or cup with white vinegar and set it next to your paintbrush collection.
- Wet the bristles of the brush by dipping it into the vinegar solution, then shake off any excess.
- Apply pressure to the bristles with your fingers, scrubbing vigorously against the grain of the brush handle. Don’t use too much pressure or you’ll damage the brush bristles.
- Rinse off the brush in clean water and let it dry completely before using it again ..
