If you’re like most homeowners, you probably don’t have a pressure washer to clean your concrete. But don’t worry, there are plenty of ways to clean your concrete without a pressure washer. Here are four methods:

  1. Use a hose. Fill up the hose with water and turn on the cold water stream. Aim the stream at the surface of the concrete and use moderate pressure to wet the surface. Let the water run over the concrete for about 30 seconds, then rinse off with fresh water.
  2. Use a bucket and sponge. Pour enough water into a bucket to cover the bottom of the bucket and add enough soap to make a sudsy mixture. Soak a sponge in the sudsy mixture and wring it out so that it’s wet but not dripping wet. Squeeze out any excess soap from the sponge. Wet one side of the sponge with water and wring it out again so that it’s completely wetted. Place it on top of one end of the bucket, making sure that its wetted edge is touching the surface of the concrete. Push down on the sponge so that it spreads out over all ofthe surface area in contact withthe concrete (you may need to do this in several spots). Leave it there for about 10 minutes, then rinse off with fresh water and dry off your hands before touching anything else!
  3. Use an old t-shirt or piece of cloth as a scrubber . Wet one side of an old t-shirt or pieceof clothwith soap solutionand wringoutthe excess liquid untilit’s just damp (don’t letit drip).
