If you’re like most people, you probably don’t think much about your car’s ac condenser. But if it’s not clean, your car’s air conditioning won’t work as well. Here’s how to clean it:

  1. Turn off the car and remove the key from the ignition.
  2. Open the hood and locate the ac condenser unit. It will likely be on the front of the engine near the radiator.
  3. Remove the cover from the condenser unit by unscrewing it from its mounting bracket. Be careful not to damage any of the fins or wires inside!
  4. Use a vacuum cleaner with a hose attachment to clean out all of the dust and debris that has built up over time inside of the condenser unit. Make sure to get into all of the nooks and crannies!
  5. Replace any dirty parts or replace the entire condenser unit if necessary, and reattach it to its mounting bracket using screws that are provided with your replacement part or hardware store. ..
