If your ice maker is not producing enough ice, there are a few things you can do to clean it. The first step is to determine if the ice maker is frozen up. If it is, you will need to defrost it before cleaning it. If the ice maker isn’t frozen, you can try one of the following methods:

  • Pour a pot of hot water into the freezer and wait until the water reaches a temperature of 120 degrees Fahrenheit. Pour the water into the ice maker and turn it on. Let it run for about 10 minutes or until all of the ice has melted.
  • Use a vacuum cleaner with a hose attachment to clean out all of the debris inside of the machine. Make sure to remove any pieces of plastic or metal that may be lodged in between the parts.
  • Pour a pot of white vinegar into a bowl and add enough cold water to make a slurry. Dip a cloth in this mixture and wipe down all surfaces inside of the machine. Be sure to get under the coils and around any drainage areas. ..
