If you’re like most people, you probably think of car engines as dirty and difficult to clean. But in fact, cleaning an engine with steam is one of the easiest things you can do. Here’s how to do it:

  1. Fill a pot with water and set it on the stove to boil.
  2. Add about a cup of distilled white vinegar to the pot, and then turn up the heat so that the water and vinegar mixture is boiling rapidly.
  3. Turn off the heat and add about a quart of cold water to the pot, then stir well to combine.
  4. Pour this mixture into a spray bottle and spray it all over your car’s engine block, using gentle pressure from your hands if necessary. Be sure to get into all the nooks and crannies!
  5. Let the engine block cool for at least 30 minutes before trying to start it up—this will help prevent any damage from happening while the engine is running hot! ..
