There are a few ways to change the size of a layer in Photoshop. One way is to use the layer mask. The layer mask is a tool that lets you control how the layer appears. To use the layer mask, click on the little arrow next to the layer name in the Layers palette, and then click on the Edit button. The Edit button will open a dialog box that looks like this: In this dialog box, you can choose how much space to give your new layer. You can either give your new layer all of the space it needs, or you can give it only some of the space. If you give your new layer only some of the space, Photoshop will create a small thumbnail for it in the Layers palette. If you give your new layer all of the space, Photoshop will create a large thumbnail for it in the Layers palette.
