There are a few ways to change the color of your artboard in Illustrator. The first way is to use the Colors palette. To open the Colors palette, click on the Palette button in the top left corner of Illustrator. Then, select a color from the Colors palette and press OK. The second way is to use the Tools palette. To open the Tools palette, click on the Palette button in the top left corner of Illustrator. Then, select a tool from the Tools palette and press OK. The third way is to use one of Illustrator’s commands. To change the color of an object or layer, use one of these commands: Command Description ctrl-click (or ctrl-drag) on an object or layer and then select a new color from the Colors palette cmd-click (or cmd-drag) on an object or layer and then select a new color from within its context menu
