When you’re starting out in Illustrator, it’s a good idea to start with a basic blend. This is a technique that lets you combine two or more images to create a single image that is more realistic and consistent than either of the individual images. To begin, open the Image window and select one of your images. Then, click on the blend button in the bottom left corner of the Image window. This will open a new dialog box that will let you choose how many layers to create and how much color to use. Next, select another image from your library and click on the blend button again. This time, make sure that you have at least two layers selected and that the color selection is set to “All.” Now click on OK to close both dialog boxes. Now, open another Illustrator window and paste one of your images into it. When you paste an image into an existing window, Illustrator will automatically resize it so that it fills up the entire window. If you want to keep some of the space for yourself, you can choose not to resize by clicking on the minus sign next to the Image name in the Window list at the top of the Window list.
