Textures can add a lot of depth and realism to your images in Photoshop. In this tutorial, we’ll show you how to create a simple texture using the Burn tool and some basic Photoshop techniques. To create our texture, we’ll start by creating a new layer in Photoshop and filling it with black. To create the rough surface of our texture, we’ll use the Burn tool (B) to create random patterns across the layer. To make the texture more realistic, we’ll add some subtle shadows and highlights using the Dodge and Burn tools (O). Once our texture is complete, we can easily apply it to any image in Photoshop by selecting it and clicking on the Textures tab in the Properties panel.
