Adding text to Photoshop can be a bit of a challenge, but with a few tricks and some patience, you can get the job done. Here are four tips for adding text to your images in Photoshop:
- Use the Type Tool. The Type Tool is located in the toolbar at the top of the screen and lets you type text directly into your image. To use it, click on the Type Tool icon and select the text you want to add from your computer or document. You can also enter text using keyboard shortcuts (see below).
- Use Text Frames. If you want to add more than one line of text to your image, you can use Text Frames. To create a Text Frame, first select the area of your image where you want to place it, then click on the Create Frame button located in the Tools panel (or press Ctrl+J/Cmd+J). Next, drag and drop one or more Text Frames onto your image. You can resize them as needed by clicking on their handles (or pressing Ctrl+T/Cmd+T). Finally, type in your text and press Enter/Return to finish editing it.
- Use Paragraphs. If you only need a single line of text in an image, you can use Paragraphs instead of Text Frames. To create a paragraph, first select the area of your image where you want it, then click on the Create Paragraph button located in the Tools panel (or press Ctrl+Shift+P/Cmd+Shift+P). Next, type in your desired paragraph length and press Enter/Return to finish editing it.
