In Illustrator CS6, you can add fonts to your document by selecting the Fonts palette and then clicking the Add Font button. When you add a font, Illustrator creates a new font file in the same location as your original document. You can also use the File > New > Font dialog to create a new font file. To use a font in an Illustrator document, you must first select it from the Fonts palette and then click its Use button.
