If you’re like most people, you use fonts all the time in your work. Whether it’s in a document you’re creating or just browsing the web, font use is a common way to make things look more polished and professional. But if you’re using Adobe Illustrator CC 2018, there’s a good chance that your fonts are missing. In this article, we’ll show you how to add fonts to your Illustrator project using the tools available in the software. First things first: if you don’t have any fonts installed on your computer already, make sure to download and install some before continuing. There are a lot of great free and premium fonts available online, so it’s up to you which ones you choose. Once your fonts are installed, open up Illustrator and select File > New > File… From the dialog box that pops up, select Type > Text Document and click OK. Now that we’ve created our new text document, let’s start adding some font resources! To do this, first click on the Fonts panel located at the top of the screen (or press F11). This will open up the Fonts panel where we can find all of our installed fonts (if any) as well as any custom font files we’ve created ourselves. If we want to use one of our installed fonts in our project, simply click on it and it will be added to the list of available options. If we want to use a custom font file instead, we’ll need to locate it on our computer and add it to the list of available options.
